She has been actively involved in dentistry since high school. It was there that her type teacher asked her to go work as a dental assistant for her husband. She is now in her 8th year at Canyon Rim Dental as the co-office manager and has enjoyed her interaction with the family of patients that make up Canyon Rim Dental. Barb has been enjoying dentistry for many years!
When not enjoying dentistry Barb loves spending time with her ever growing family, travel with her dear husband, quilt, run half marathons, garden, cook and EAT delicious food and serve in her church.

She has worked in the dental admin field since 1993 and has been with CRDA since 2002 (with a small break between 2012 and 2014).
Outside of work she loves to spend time with her family and friends and also loves to craft, read, go for long walks, attend concerts, try new recipes and inflict the results on anyone who is game, and enjoys being outside in all the beautiful canyons and scenery that surround us……oh and she LOVES Summer, but really hates winter!
Cozette Carlson – Front Office
After growing up in Holladay, Utah, Cozette moved to Sandy with her husband where they raised their five children. She loved everything about being a mom and that sentiment has now multiplied to include her children’s amazing spouses and seventeen adorable grandchildren.
She was first introduced to dentistry when her oldest son decided to become a dentist. She worked for him until he sold his practice in Sandy and moved his family to Wyoming where he now has a practice in Rock Springs. She has continued to work in the field for the last eight years and really enjoys meeting and interacting with patients. She is very excited to be a new member of the Canyon Rim Dental team.
Outside of work, she loves to cook and entertain. She has a little catering business that keeps her busy on the weekends. She enjoys reading, sewing, outdoor activities and spending time with her family.
Trista M. – Hygienist
Trista started in dentistry as a dental assistant while going to college to become a hygienist and has worked at Canyon Rim Dental for nearly 20 years. She graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is the patients she gets to help. She is quick to become close friends with them and enjoys helping them care for their teeth.
She grew up in Salt Lake City with 4 brothers and 1 sister. She loves her family. She married her best friend, and together they have one son. She loves watching her son play piano, play ice hockey and ride his bike.
Outside of work, Trista enjoys hiking in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. She loves to travel…she has been to all 50 states plus Europe, Canada and Costa Rica. She loves chocolate! But above all, she loves to spend time with her family.
Angie H. – Hygienist
Angie grew up in the world of dentistry as her father started his own practice in Driggs Idaho. As a teenager, she learned to talk to patients as she assisted her dad. Over the years, she expanded her knowledge working in the dental lab, at the front desk, and as the office manager. Angie took time off to raise her three sons with her husband Bryce where they learned to ski, ride motorcycles and cut piles of firewood high in the mountains of Southern Utah.
As her boys started leaving the nest, Angie returned to school and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Utah College of Dental Hygiene in Orem. Being the class recipient of the Excellence in Professional Care Award, Angie takes pride in getting to know her patients and using her skills to help them live healthier lives. When she’s not working, Angie enjoys reading, spending time with her husband, and spoiling her last child, Bella, an Old English bulldog.
